Our events feature performing artists and filmmakers whose diverse voices and experiences of the past are presented in conversation with each other on the same stage, in front of a live audience. Staging Our Histories’ (SOH) events typically feature 4-8 short performances over the course of one dynamic evening. Pieces are staged back-to-back, punctuated by talk-back sessions with the artists and audience that continue the conversations which emerge from and between each piece.

SOH brings together filmmakers and performing artists of diverse traditions with members of academia and the general public, to offer a space for engagement and dialogue regarding the ways we express our histories beyond the page.

Our next event takes place March 23rd 2019, in Goderich ON. Find out more about New Histories / Old Roots here.
